About this collection: This collection came from my trip to Finland. I found out that the Finnish people had a word which was “untranslatable”; SISU. After hearing the deep meaning and power behind this word I found it fascinating that certain words can’t be translated, yet mean so much to certain cultures. After doing a bit of research I found a few others which I loved and felt a connection with.
Sisu: (Finnish) white-knuckled form of courage & Stoic determination, tenacity of purpose, gift, bravery, & resilience. You might not like doing something, but that something has to be done, so you do it.
